Today I noticed a high battery drain when Android App Support is running (5.2.0.17).
With battery buddy I saw a drain of > 800mA (max ~1100 mA),
Further investigation lead to installing SysMetrics, there I noticed that System_Server was the top consumer with 150%, one processor core was running at 100%.
This initially happened when I installed and used the following apps (via AAS: foobar2000, pano scrobbler) and having connected Bluetooth to my car and headphone to play music. Eventually I want to use more native apps, but for now this was the most convenient way to use what I used on my android phone.
I also have Situations running, and initially thought it was a Bluetooth or automation problem but I suspect something AAS related.
More relevant info:
- It does not happen immediately after restarting AAS.
- After a (short) while the battery drain and high CPU usage of System_Server returns.
- It also now occurs after a while when running other AAS apps (Firefox, possibly other apps as well, but did not use many others frequently enough to tell).
- It obviously stops immediately when I turn off AAS.
- Rebooting the phone does not really make a difference (AAS is started at startup, and the problems only occur after running for a while and using some (android) apps).
So my questions are:
Is there an (easy) way to see what is causing this?
Any other suggestions I can look at, background usage of android apps?
