On the new Jolla Phone screenshots are taken by pressing both volume buttons simultaneously.
The screenshot itself works, but the volume is also changed every time I take a screenshot.
This feels confusing and makes the shortcut less reliable to use. It would be great if the system could detect the screenshot shortcut before applying the individual volume button actions, or provide an alternative way to take screenshots.
Yeah, annoying. I added screenshot icon in the top menu.
Due to a damaged volume key on my Xperia 10iii, I do the same thing.
@treagod if you customize the top menu (Top menu > gear icon or Settings App > Top Menu) you can add a Screenshot toggle to it
I added that too, but I cannot take screenshot of the main app screen (not sure about English name of that 
) with that! Just a minor inconvenience.

But it feels like a ugly workaround. Having the Hardware Buttons do the work correctly would be the better Option
Open “Main app screen”, swipe down from top edge. The whole app screen slides down, revealing “lock screen?”, but not opening top menu.
Ah, you mean the app launcher, which you open with a swipe from the bottom edge, and where you have all the app icons and can sort them into folders? Yep, you’re right, it isn’t possible to use the top menu in there.
When you press the screenshot toggle in the top menu, you should have the shutter icon on the screen until you press the toggle again.
So if you want to take a screenshot from somewhere, you just need to press the shutter icon, not go to the top menu
As nthh wrote, it is not possible to take screenshot of app launcher screen this way. I do not have any problems to have screenshot even of app launcher screen (using vol up-vol down). I just wanted to point out, that top menu option is not available in that situation.

Sure it’s possible. You just need to prepare shutter icon before taking screenshots. And close it after.
