@ichthyosaurus first of all thank you for all the Apps and maintaining them. I have a question regarding to Captain's Log. There are multiple ways of doing a backup/export a database but how can I restore the database? Especially when switching the devices.

Glad you like my apps! :slight_smile:

Captain’s log is integrated with MyBackup, so if you’re using that your database will be included in standard system backups.

When making manual backups, you can simply copy/restore the database in /home/nemo/.local/share/harbour-captains-log/harbour-captains-log/. The current database version at the time of writing is 8, so the database file is called diary-v008.db.

I may implement a way to import an exported database zip at some point, but as it’s so easy to restore it manually, that’s not high on my to-do list.

Re Dashboard

The concept is great and offers a lot of possibilities. In World Clock however the logic may be wrong as the time for Berlin shows as an Hour behind UK time rather an hour in advance.

Does this need adjusting?

That’s weird, it’s ok when I try it. Does the issue persist when you restart the app? Does it also happen when you add a new tile for Berlin?

Are other timezones working correctly? I once had an issue where suddenly all clocks were only showing UTC but I couldn’t reproduce it.

Can you post a screenshot of the page that you get when you tap on the tile?

Hi, Yes this seems to persist when the App / Phone is re-started and on my two Sailfish phones. Originally on Xperia 10V (In beta) and also now on Xperia 10iii - Both Running 4.6.0.15 Sauna

When adding the time zone the difference is initially show correctly during the adding process as being in advance but once added the display and offset from local time is behind local time rather than say Berlin (And Paris) being an hour ahead. (NB The Cover times are static until the cover is touched when the clock updates to the (incorrect) offset time)

Whether the Time and Date settings for Automatic or Manual Time Zone doesn’t seem to affect this.

A better extreme example is American Samoa (GMT -11:00 according to the App) my UK time is 17:03 but the App is showing Pago Pago (American Samoa) as only 1 Hour Behind at 16:03. The actual Pago Pago time seems to be -12 Hours from current UK time (GMT+1) and 05:03

Hope this helps. Mike

Well, that appears to be the “all clocks are in UTC” issue that I also experienced once. I couldn’t figure out why it happened, and after some time the problem just disappeared.

You can try starting the app from the terminal and send me the log output. Maybe we can find a hint there…

Hey, your app Parking Chaos doesn’t work with MyBackup. At least not on my X10III with SFOS 4.6*. Backup archive doesn’t contain anything Parking Chaos. I’ve done several backups with same result.
What more is, I can’t find where the play progress is stored, so that I can manually restore one of my favourite games.

Hey @eson, there’s only one relevant dconf key at the moment: /apps/harbour-parkingchaos/lastLevelIndex In my test backup it appears in my-file.tar/MyBackup/data/users/100000/config.json. More than that isn’t saved yet, that’s still something to be implemented.

Well, I can’t find /apps/harbour-parkingchaos/lastLevelIndex on phone, and in my backup there is no value in the config.json.

            ],
            "name": "/apps/harbour-parkingchaos/"
        }

I guess that’s why my score isn’t transferred to my new phone?

That’s weird and unfortunate… It very much looks like a bug then.

However, the workaround is simple. It’s not really saving a score anyway, it’s rather a bookmark indicating which level you’re on. You can just select the level on your new phone (use the level selector from the pulley menu) and continue from there :).

Thanks! I haven’t even noticed that there is a level selector. :thinking: Shame on me!
So that must be why it worked the last time I changed to new phone! :sweat_smile:
