I’m totally bad in Lunix. Point me how pls.
Open terminal and run jolla-settings or other not working app e.g. harbour-‘yourapp’.
jolla-setting run within term but there is lotta erors in log. most about account db manager.
should i did hard reset?
jolla account is lost. and i can not create new one. i suppose i must not to use sfos upgrade scripts even when it runs fine. when i update to previous one stop release it all the things were ok.
Thank you for trying.
It seems that Jolla completely relies on an update not being offered by the GUI updater, with no other measure to prevent installing packages which do not work: This is the route of least effort for them, but not as it should be handled.
At least you now know for sure how far you can successfully upgrade SailfishOS on your Inoi R7.
How to roll it back?
This is not advisable and technically almost impossible. Jolla states it this way: SailfishOS does not support downgrading.
I can’t for sure. Some guys update next but with term not with sfos-upgrade script and didn’t faced with my issues.
flashing lvm once again to update from term with no sfos scripts. there is nothing left.
Please read the description of sfos-upgrade
: There is no other way to upgrade SailfishOS via terminal commands.
Well, there is the “zypper dance” recommended for community ports (requires zypper
to be installed by executing pkcon install zypper
as root):
ssu re X.Y.Z.P && ssu ur && zypper ref && zypper dup
But technically this is also just a variation of
ssu re X.Y.Z.P && version --dup
which is executed by sfos-upgrade
.
ssu re x.x.x.x
version --dup
reboot
thats how i update
well ok now im sure. did it all the way from lvm 4.0.1.48 to 4.1.0.24 and next to 4.2.0.21 and get the same shit with no sfos-update scripts. so i dunno who update higher in this thread or next to this and say that only cam and location is broken. to me broken almost 2/3 os system. so i left it at 4.1.0.24. thats enuff to me.
