Yes, but the request is to have it native in the JP2 
I once connected a USB-C dock to my Jolla C2 with a wireless keyboard and mouse, and it worked!
So it should work on the JP2 as well.
This convergence works pretty good already with ubuntu touch on Fairphone 4.
This nex phone is an Android and Win phone, so nothing for me.

No external Monitor. But if the Monitor is attached to a computer you can use Screencast | OpenRepos.net — Community Repository System.
For screencast you will need additional PC. What I mean, is to use the smartphone in desktop mode instead of PC
on Fairphone 4 with UT, yes. No PC needed. The phone becomes the PC (and some other UT Phones work, too). That’s what I meant with convergence.
