Android app doesn't see wifi connection

REPRODUCIBILITY (% or how often): 100%
BUILD ID = OS VERSION (Settings > About product): 4.0.1.48 (Koli)
HARDWARE (XA2, Xperia 10…): XA2
UI LANGUAGE: English
REGRESSION: (compared to previous public release: Yes, No, ?): No

DESCRIPTION:

Canon’s camera connect app uses wifi to connect to the camera, which acts as access point. The app re-routes me to the wifi connection menu, and I can connect the phone to the camera, but the app still says there is no camera connected, although Sailfish says there is. If I recall correctly, with the previous Sailfish/Camera Connect versions I tried, it said there was no wifi (so if that is true it’s an improvement of sorts).

(The app also has the option to connect via NFC, but says the phone does not have NFC even though it is switched on.)

PRECONDITIONS:

Canon Camera Connect android app vsn 2.7.20.13

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Start app
  2. Follow connection instructions and connect the camera as instructed

EXPECTED RESULT:

The app should detect the camera is present

ACTUAL RESULT:

The app says there is no camera present

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This is a known issue and listed as known issue in the release notes.

Thanks! But I don’t see it in the release notes for Koli on this site (though there is something about bluetooth and android). Perhaps I overlooked it somehow.
