Android app black after focus loss

Ahoi, I’m back to Sailfishos after jolla1 and Xperia X, then a stabattical for a few years and now I’m on a freshly intalled X III. Feels good to be back!

I have a strange problem with the qobuz android app: It starts OK, I can play music and it keeps playing in the background.

However, when I try to activate it again (get it to be fullscreen again) it takes a long time and then opens with a black screen that is totally unresponsive. The playback, however, still works and I can use the lockscreen media buttons to interact. I can also reactivate the app from Android app settings using the “open” button.

But I cannot re-focus it from the app gallery (overview of opened apps). This is the only android app that misbehaves like that.

Any suggestions how to solve this?

If you could specify your Sailfish version it would probably help to encircle your problem

Sorry, I freshly installed the latest 4.6.0.15 SailfishOS.

I usually see this symptom occurring when an Android app launches another Android app, for example you launch LinkedIn or Facebook from links posted in Slack.

There’s some kind of a focus weirdness that can then happen when multi-tasking between those source and target apps.

Aurora Store does this sometimes.

Just tried with an apk from apkpure, same problem. So it does not seem to be because of aurora store.

I’m starting qobuz directly, not via a link. Funnily, it works when I reactivate the app via android app settings, so from inside android it works.

I can also reactivate Qobuz from within Aurora store. The store minimises and I can then simply tap on the minimised Qobuz app and it smoothly comes up into fullscreen.

At least on my Xperia 10, when returning to Android app from home screen and running into black screen, turning the device sideways and back to upright position (forcing screen rotation) forces SFOS to draw the screen properly and image appears.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, this doesn‘t work on my XIII.
