I recently install the Meecast Daemon patch. But i can’t find the way to activate it !! I’m the very very very beginner user 
To make it work on my Xperia 10 iii and v I simply downloaded the meecast packages from Openrepos, installed them, and then to get the weather in the events view did:
Step 1:
Open terminal as root (devel-su):
pkcon install lipstick-jolla-home-qt5-weather-widget-settings
Step 2:
In terminal as user:
dconf write /desktop/lipstick-jolla-home/force_weather_loading true
When Jolla removed their weather widget they disabled the functionality. The commands above re-install / enable it again.
It also appears in the lock screen as well. I didn’t use any patches.

Not needed and no idea if they still work.
Just install - in this order:
Meecast
Meecat daemon
Meecast event view and Meecast lockscreen

On XA2 with 5.1
That dconf does not exit nor work anymore.
I happened to notice that only now:
Meecast did not show up in Event View nor on Lockscreen.
But after installing the Weather app from store, it worked again. Now I have this “dumb” icon, but iirc I made a patch at earlier times to hide it
