No, it doesn’t. They even differ per region (state or even district). But the routing is centrally done by A1 (in Vienna).
Ha, well, if the ambulance arrives too late to help you, I don’t think you’re going to be able to sue Jolla.
The problem isn’t that position data is sent to emergency services in a real emergency after pushing the red button or dialing 112, the problem is, can this be triggered by hackers/intruders without knowledge of the user or in the background.
In real emergency cases this is very senseful. If I drive on the highway in the night over 300 km, and come to an accident and want to help, I’m sure I will not know at what kilometer I am. Also this technology is usual e.g. in marine traffic, surf the internet for GMDSS, for example. Also linked with GPS position data.
Are there ‘silent calls’? Can someone spoof 112 number and initiate such if so? Is there any trace in the sms db? (no idea if sms are filtered from messages app only or the whole system) Am I being paranoid and does it mean they aren’t after me?
This seems to suggest that even a hypothethical ‘silent call’ shouldn’t cause the data sending, I’m just paranoid
