Any chance ActivityPub could be set up? That way we could read and reply for example on Lemmy or other ActivityPub software.
I meant support for ActivityPub into the forum itself. Meaning I can browse it from Lemmy as if it was a community and I can interact with others from there.
Yep, exactly the plugin I’ve had in mind when I brought up the topic. Probably should have posted that in the original post, now that I think about it.
Is anyone from Jolla actually reading it? It would be nice to let us know. For example “not planned” or “we will look into it” or “nice idea, let’s do it” or pretty much anything except radio silence would be greatly appreciated.
The best way to reach Jolla employees is to ask the question on next community meeting.
So the forum literally named “Site feedback” is useless?
Well, here I go with another scream into the void! I feel like the original post of mine and the (lack of a) response illustrates well how much those jolly boys care about feedback.
Indeed, I didn’t. Does it change anything about a forum called “Site Feedback”?
It’s a simple question that shouldn’t take much time to answer. Literally less than five minutes to answer “Yes, it’s planned” or “No, it’s not planned” or “We haven’t thought about it, we’ll get back to you later.”
I’m a paying customer, I shouldn’t be forced to be part of any meetings to get a simple question in an official support forum.
Dear diary, it’s been over a month since the company known for ignoring its customers has ignored my post in an official feedback forum.
I added this aspect to the title, because without that the title was misleading: IMO almost everyone will first think of the telepathy framework being addressed here.
No. IMO the IRC meetings are for posing another hurdle to provide feedback: “If you are not willing to present your issue there, we have a (selfmade) reason to dismiss it / you.” OTOH sailors regularly stated that this forum is the right and only place for feedback (bug reports etc.), when being asked why the issue trackers at the GitHub repositories of most SailfishOS components are disabled … only to recently open and propagate a separate GH-repository solely for tracking bugs (IMO a "bad idea"™, because this way these reports are decoupled from their software proper as they are in this forum; this not really making things easier).
Well, silence is also an answer. Anyway, the proper answer is almost for sure a simple “No”, because Jolla does neither develop this forum software or contribute to it, they also do not run or configure this forum instance: All this is done by the company Discourse Inc.
