Active microphone during the call on the same side as earpiece GeminiPDA

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100%
OS VERSION: 4.4.0.72
HARDWARE: geminipda x27
UI LANGUAGE: pl_PL
REGRESSION: cannot state, newly flashed system.

DESCRIPTION:

Microphone and earpiece that are active during the voicecall are located on the same side of the gemini, which is at the jack side. This results in low quality of voice calls for the other party, because one is not able to talk directly to the microphone.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Start the call and make a conversation
  2. ask the other party about the voice quality when holding the phone naturally
  3. ask the other party about the voice quality when speaking to the microphone located at earpiece side

EXPECTED RESULT:

Active microphone and earpiece are on the opposite sides of the gemini which allows to hold earpiece to your ear and speak to the microphone at the same time.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Earpiece and microphone active at the same side of the gemini.

MODIFICATIONS:

Purely flashed system. Tried mulitple reflashes using android 7 and 8 as base with the same result.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

There are two input ports: input-builtin_mic and input-back_mic. Builtin mic the one near the active earpiece (and jack) and input-back_mic is the one on the opposite site. I tried the following command: pactl set-source-port 2 input-back_mic
This works during normal operation e.g. recording voice with audio recorder and switches the microphone to the desired one, but it does not have any effects during voicecall, despite the fact that the command succeds and active port is switched.
