A-GPS, EGNOS, quick and working position?

I also use GPSInfo. Wonderful little Program and it helps a lot getting a fast fix. Using GPS from time to time also helps a lot.

And I notice a serious decline in GPS accuracy when connected with 5G. Makes no sense to me but after all what makes sense to me?

@henris42 , Maybe you want to try this:

and report if this works on new devices. It works fine on good old Xperia 10.

I hope this aspect will be properly fixed in the new Jolla phone. Its been a pain.

Have you tried the AGPS ‘fix’ (it’s not really a fix but using google’s agps service (or graphenes)), doubtful jolla will officially start using google’s service, but hopefully community can plug in extra services (like apple’s wifi-based locatiom service that can pinpoint your location within seconds even inside buildings see:
Use BeaconDB as online positioning service - #68 by throwaway69)
Even if it cannot be officially supported, apple will not notice few k handsets pinging them every now and then vs 100mil they have pinging them all the time

Jolla has announced that they will introduce BeaconDB officially in 5.1
