4G data connection not workig if start OS with 4G selected

REPRODUCIBILITY: always
OS VERSION: 4.5.0.16
HARDWARE: SONY XPERIA 10 III
UI LANGUAGE: Italian
REGRESSION: NO

DESCRIPTION:

4G connection not work if a start the OS with 4G already selected. If I start the OS with 3G delected and, after, I select 4G I don’t lost internet connection.

PRECONDITIONS:

4G data connection selected

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Select 4G data connection
  2. Turn off/ restart device
  3. Turn on device
  4. Navigate on internet and test if you are connected

EXPECTED RESULT:

You are connected on internet

ACTUAL RESULT:

You are not connected on internet

MODIFICATIONS:

No mods

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Know problems on Sony devices with custom roms (android). A work around implemetend was:

  1. an action on shutdown/restart buttons who perform a silent switch from 4G data to 3G data connection.
  2. a script on the system startup who silent switch on 4G from 3G data connection.
