4.6.0.13 lost mobile connection

OS VERSION: 4.6.0.13
HARDWARE: Xperia X
UI LANGUAGE: Slovak
REGRESSION: Yes

DESCRIPTION:

After updating to 4.6.0.13 my Xperia X has lost all mobile/cellular connectivity. The signal indicator is showing no signal and there is no mobile/cellular section in the settings app anymore to even try and do something. Worked fine before the update.

PRECONDITIONS:

None, update to 4.6.0.13

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. update to 4.6.0.13

EXPECTED RESULT:

Cellular to work and have options in the settings app.

ACTUAL RESULT:

No cellular signal, no options for it in the settings app

I don’t know if this helps. I had this too. My Wi-Fi also didn’t work.
For me it helped to enable flight mode and then disable it again.
Hopefully this works for you, if not, at least we tried :wink:

Sadly no, the wifi connection actually works fine. It seems to me that the radio hardware (e.g. cellular modem) is no longer even recognized by the kernel or there’s some error in the driver. Nothing related to cellular comes up whatsoever in settings or otherwise (e.g. if I remove or readd the sim card, no events).

Turns out that a few powercycles later the mobile menu came back. I reinserted the sim card after seeing it and it’s now working again…
