[4.4.0] Decrypted SD card not mounted

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100%
OS VERSION: 4.4.0
HARDWARE: Jolla C, Xperia XA 2, Xperia 10 III
UI LANGUAGE: German
REGRESSION: Broken since 4.4

DESCRIPTION:

After entering the password for decryption of the SD card it is not mounted. One has to mount it in a separate step.

PRECONDITIONS:

inserted encrypted SD card

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. open storage settings
  2. wait a few seconds till the message no SD card changes to encrypted SD card
  3. select decrypt
  4. enter password
  5. select mount

EXPECTED RESULT:

mount SD card directly after entering password

ACTUAL RESULT:

additional step 5 is required

MODIFICATIONS:

restore old behavior

I’m not sure if it’s really a bug or just missing code. It needs some clarification from Jolla, because I think it’s more a feature request.

I agree, I think this is more of a feature request than a bug. However, from what I can tell the suggestion makes good sense, so I’ve created an internal ticket for it as a feature request.

I’ve also moved it into the feature request category. There’s no “tracked” tag in this new category, but we do have a link to this thread in our internal ticket.
