BUILD ID = OS VERSION (Settings > About product): 4.3.0.12 (Suomenlinna)
HARDWARE (XA2, X10, X10 II, …): Xperia 10 II - Dual SIM
UI LANGUAGE: Finnish
REGRESSION: (compared to previous public release: Yes, No, ?): Yes

DESCRIPTION:

Using Microsoft Outlook app (4.2201.2) I’m unable to save email attachments to the device memory. Every time I try it, I get an error report “Latausvirhe” (“Download error”).

However I can view the image file in Outlook app and android gallery app too. I’m also able to send emails with attachments, so at least on some level the application can access device memory.

[Edit] It seems that this problem affect only image files (JPG). PDF-files I seem to be able to download without problems.

PRECONDITIONS:

Xperia X II with Sailfish OS and Android support.
microG configured and working.
Microsft Outlook App downloaded with Aurora Store.
Allowed all permissions in Android settings (including access to device memory).
Configure an Exchange account for it

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Set up Sailfish OS with android support (including microG)
  2. Install MS Outlook App and configure Exchange Account for it.
  3. Try saving an email attachment to device memory.

EXPECTED RESULT:

Attachment file saved to device memory.

ACTUAL RESULT:

An error report.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

I wish I didn’t have to use MS Outlook Android App. However, I have no other option since Sailfish OS Email application’s Exchange account doesn’t work with Modern Authentication (Oauth/MFA).
