[4.2.0.19] Review mode in camera shows recent videos instead of pictures

DESCRIPTION:

When in camera mode a swipe right should bring up the most recently taken pictures. Instead it shows the last videos which is a bug.

PRECONDITIONS:

Open system camera app.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Open the system camera app (from app grid or from lock screen)
  2. swipe right

EXPECTED RESULT:

last taken picture shown

ACTUAL RESULT:

last taken video shown
(also persists after a reboot)

UPDATE:

Issue is gone one day later without any user action.

It is my understanding that the content we see when swiping right in camera UI, shows the last media taken, if it was a video, you should see that last video, first. If you took a picture, then you should see that last image, first.

Think of it as a roll of physical camera film, that last thing you took will be the last thing in the roll.

Personally, I do not see this as a bug.

@Edz I fully agree, but in my case it shows a video even if I just had taken a picture.
Addon: This also persists after a restart of the phone.

And today the issue is suddenly gone… interesting. Maybe a media indexing issue?
