DESCRIPTION:
After the upgrade to 4.0.1.45, the loading time of the Email, Gallery and People apps are a lot longer then before. The first starts after accepting the permissions took more than 20 seconds (the UI actually timed out and returned to the home screen before eventually opening up the app).
One day later, the loading times have reduced a bit, but are still at 5+ seconds for opening one of the apps.
PRECONDITIONS:
Have 4.0.1.45 installed
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
- open Email / Gallery / People app
EXPECTED RESULT:
App opens as fast as with previous SFOS versions (loading time < 1 sec)
ACTUAL RESULT:
Apps take very long to load / open (5 seconds and longer)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Probably related to the firejail implementation for permission handling. I suspect the longer loading times resulting from firejail having to start up or something. Still, having to wait 5+ seconds to access your phone book is at least annoying when you have to quickly look something up.
