What if you remove the flip-case. Does it work then?

  • just the narrow down potential reasons…

Yes, without flip-case - works normaly.
Seems like problem with reading sensor.

Please consider checking the proximity sensor:

The proximity sensor of your phone (at the top of the phone) can be tested with the CSD test app

To access the CSD , do the following:

  1. Please open Settings > System > About product
  2. Tap the Build number 5 times (or more) as fast as you can.
  3. Accept the disclaimer. CSD top menu of appears
  4. Choose ‘Individual tests’
  5. Scroll down and find group ‘Sensor’ (on the right)
  6. Tap ‘’ Proximity sensor '.
  7. ‘Test procedure’ appears on the display
  8. Set your phone on a table (on horizontal surface)
  9. Set a finger on the black marging above the display (about 10 mm wide) so that it covers the margin but does not touch the actual display. The text on the display will appear less bright now. The lowest row should have now the text “Proximity sensor: covered”
  10. Lift your finger up now. The text should turn bright again. The lowest row should have now the text “Proximity sensor: uncovered”
  11. Repeat steps 10-11 a few times.
  12. You will soon see the test verdict, either green ‘Pass’ or red ‘Fail’. Let us know which one.

As the first phase of this test requires that you put your finger precisely to the correct place we recommend repeating this test several times. If the verdict is ‘Fail’ consistently then the sensor is most likely defective. You can restart the test by swiping the verdict view to the right.
