Some links cannot be followed/opened externally.
Either nothing happens or the mail goes white
PRECONDITIONS:
Get an html email with some links in it.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Tap link in email
EXPECTED RESULT:
Opens in Browser
ACTUAL RESULT:
In some scenarios nothing happens
In others it looks like embedded web view is trying to navigate away internally, and goes white

I doubt it. I don’t have any patches whatsoever.
Since the email rendering webview thingy was changed in 3.4, when this started, i am much more inclined to think it is related to that.
Or was there some more specific detail you meant?
I observed the same: when clicking a link in the email, sometimes not the browser opens but rather an ill-rendered webview opens in a next screen of the email client.
I would expect that the the link is consistently opend in the brower
Another observation, but as a sidenote really… Long-press on images and/or things one would have expected to work as links brings up a useless browser-like dialog with no options.
On the tablet version 4.2.0.21 this bug still occure (tested with some youtube links) .
Fernschreiber app is opened after a short tap .
On community port for fp2 a question pop up to ask which app to open (Bowser, Fernschreiber(?), …).
Longpress shows the options copy link and share (which allow to share it with whisperfish, …) on both devices …
I think the Fernschreiber app should also be shown on longtap (and not on short tap .
