2 SIMs breaks network connectivity for Android apps

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100%
OS VERSION: 5.0.0.67
HARDWARE: C2
UI LANGUAGE: English
REGRESSION: Cannot confirm or deny.

DESCRIPTION:

Android applications lose network connectivity when both SIM cards are enabled.
Connectivity is restored when one SIM is deactivated.

PRECONDITIONS:

Use and enable two SIM cards (both active in Settings > SIM cards).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Insert two SIM cards into the device.
  2. Enable both SIM cards under Settings > SIM cards.
  3. Launch any Android application that uses the internet (e.g., Aurora Strore, YouTube).
  4. Observe that the app cannot connect to the internet.

EXPECTED RESULT:

Android apps should be able to connect to the internet while both SIMs are enabled.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Android apps cannot connect to the internet when both SIMs are active. Disabling one SIM resolves the issue.

I noticed that WhatsApp is for some reason working and I can send messages.
I installed it from Aurora store.

MODIFICATIONS:

No custom modifications, patches.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

I’m happy to provide logs or other diagnostic data upon request. Please advise what would be useful.

I have both SIM Cards enabled on my C2 with 5.0.0.67 and I don’t have this problem…

Thx @joboe for info. Do you use some of the apps I mentioned above?

It behaves weirdly even more know. Maybe I tested it incorectly before but now network doesnt work in Android apps even when I remove 2nd sim. Looks like something is broken on my side :frowning: The network for Android app works wifi only. It is kinda wierd that whatsapp is working always …

I use Aurora Store, the ING banking app, fennec, signal, whatsapp, spotify, discogs - just to name few apps. From time to time (after switching from WiFi to mobile internet or vice versa) apps cannot connect to the internet, but restarting network services and/or app support helps in most cases. If not, a reboot solves the issue.
But in general it works and it works way better than on my old XA2.
