The 4.5.0.25 images for various devices are available here, so get working hybris-recovery files from there. In other words, devices running 4.6.0 should be able to access the recovery mode by using the 4.5.0 recovery images.

A doc update will not cut it. In fact the recovery images have so little functionality that they hardly deserve the name. But i might be wrong and some people find the limited features somewhat useful.

Dropping to a shell gives you basically limitless possibilities if you know how use it.
But this is not the problem discussed in this thread.

People coming here likely have a serious problem, and the recovery image will very likely not help them. That is my opinion, accept it and drop your comments to echo > /dev/null
It is fixed in 4.6.0.15.
