I cannot reproduce using your particular set of instructions. However, I have to report the reciprocal/complementary bug, which possibly has same origin. I have it for years as well, initially on my XA2.
(Names made up, but I need real names.)
- open SMS App, start typing a message to Contact 1 (Bob)
- open the the phone App, find Contact 2 (Jane), long press, Send message. It opens Jane’s SMS message
- Press the top line (with the half circle and profile icon ◗ Jane
) of the window with Jane’s SMS.
Expected result: should go back to something related to Jane
Actual results: opens Contact 1 Bob’s contact page, ready to call Bob (while I expected Jane)
At this step it already happened to me that I called the wrong person.
Bonus: swipe to minimize the window, which is currently open in Bob’s page.
Expected results: something connected to Bob
Result: The SMS app is minimized and displays Jane’s SMS. If clicking on it (Jane’s SMS), it opens Bob’s contact page again.
Now that I know I am not the only one, I am even more confused how Jolla engineers haven’t come across it in their daily usage. It’s real and it’s serious. It can lead to communicating with the wrong person. This can have real-life consequences.
Edit: corrected the icon, the SMS page has a person profile not the star.
