Whisperfish - no initial message possible

The installation (version 0.60-develop) from openrepos worked without error message. Also the login to Signal worked.

After starting the program I see the prompt (Pull down to create a message) but no menu item. Therefore I cannot create a message.

Receiving messages and replying to them is possible but no initial message to a contact.

Has anybody an idea what went wrong?

It is not possible.

You have to initiate the conversation with the official Signal app or Signal desktop. That’s the only way you are able to start a conversation.
