Dear Diary,
I was today years old when I realized this (sftp) had been a built-in function all along.
All my photos (and documents) are in sd-card.
Is there any chance that I could see my SD-card also?
Yeah, of course! The SD card is located right here:
sftp://wlan.address.goes.here/run/media/defaultuser
There should be one folder with a bunch of letters and numbers, which is the SD card. You can just save a bookmark for that folder as well!
Extra points if you edit the diary with Kate over sftp! I was like today years minus 6 months when that revelation was revealed to me. ![]()
MintUser, Are you using Linux Mint? Do you see any messages in Logs (gnome logs)? If phone is detected, you should see “usb-device-detected” message (notification), usually in System and in Hardware parts. Mounting errors can also seen in Important part.
yes, I work on LMDE. Phone is detected, as I wrote earlier. Here is part of log:

It looks practically the same. So what’s wrong?
Maybe the problem with fwupd and boltd (as far as I understand neither boltd nor FuEngine are used in Ubuntu).
LMDE is based on Debian, not Ubuntu.
I know this. Just to suggest that maybe the problem lies with LMDE and not Jolla phone (If you search for FuEngine on the web, you’ll find some bug reports of the same type of problem with usb sticks)
You need a cable that supports data transfers, not every USB cable can do that.
I bought myself one from “INIU” on Amazon.de and it works very well.
