It might be similar to what happens when I like or boost something some other user boosted which I also already made an (re)action on in my own direct follows. There I feel it is a bit fishy. It does not show I liked/boosted the same toot already and adding same reaction again does not stick all the time. I apologize if this overlaps with one of the tracked issues, but at least I now compared to two other clients where this does not happen.
Yes, there is an issue with the request being made and the data actually getting to the server, but the update to the internal model not taking place. Thanks for confirming

Not the issues I wanted addresed, but announcing release 1.3.9 … Media attachment handling didn’t account for adding descriptions to attachments (especially not for more than one). This has been fixed so that you will actually get alt text, sigh. Also, I’ve tried to get consistent dbus interface and path naming but really don’t think I can test until I can coordinate with @abranson @molan perhaps you can push to openrepos … coming to chum and harbour and up on github …
Last note, fore some reason, the SDK actually REMOVES translation strings currently. I have to turn off the translation creation functions. Anyone ever seen that before?

Yes, indeed. That should be replaced by a lookup. It’s fixed at 500 at the moment … I’ll put it on the short list.

Could you add support for My Backup? It’s basically just adding the application’s data directories in the .desktop file, and it makes backing up a Sailfish device much nicer:
(And I suppose all of your other applications could also make use of it!)

I had started on it and not completed it since I use a script to backup .conf, .cache, .local to a tar ball on the sdcard … but it’s not difficult so I could start it up again.

A bug I’ve noticed: if you have a Mastodon account added to Events view, and Tooter is running, tapping a toot in the Events view and asking for it to be opened in Tooter will open a second Tooter instance instead of just opening the toot in the Tooter instance that’s already running. Any additional toots you open from the Events view get opened in the second instance.
Wow, it at least asks to open in Tooter?
I may case I just can select Browsers…

Hi! I was looking the forum to understand how to open links with a specific application, because if I open a toot from the events view the browser handles it, even of tooter is running. How do you choose which app to use when clicking on a link?

Hello, I am using the latest version from the Jolla Store and I really like the app.
However there seems to be a problem when having multiple accounts on different Mastodon instances:
When I open Tooter, the account from the previous session is loaded (account A). When I then switch to second one (account B), the feeds appear empty, even after waiting some time. Sometimes when I use the pulley menu without selecting anything some parts (e.g. “Federated”) are loaded, however not always. When I select “reload”, the menu on the bottom also vanishes. After that it never continues to load.
I can then close the app and re-open it, and it will have the account selected that I did choose before (in this case account B).
You mean a Mastodon Account with @abranson event view ? I wasn’t able to test it since it’s not working after a re-install. It may be an issue in general (ie, even if it’s notifications directly from tooter).
It depends on where you install from. Store installs don’t include the dbus url opening functionality, it’s only available from github, openrepos and chum.

I’ll file a bug. It’s a bit tricky to debug since I hate (really) having multiple accounts. In theory it’s something I should be able to debug with pixelfed as the second.

I’ve been waiting to coordinate with @abranson but it may be that you can already choose to use tooter if using the openrepos/chum version of tooter which includes dbus support and the url handler … hhhhhhhhh

Moved over to the Chum version. It is indeed presented as an app choice when tapping on a post in the system feed, however it just opens the home screen, instead of the post.
