fyi: the tutorial freezing at the clock app step is a known issue (see Clock app cannot be opened in tutorial)
I’ve had the same thing happen on a normal, non-ultra XA2, it’s unrelated to any of the other issues you might’ve been having

Thanks all, the problem was indeed using the USB3 port, with USB2 the installation worked well.
