'share' from gallery displaying ghost android apps

HARDWARE: XA2 dual
UI LANGUAGE: english

DESCRIPTION:

after uninstalling an android app (exemple Telegram X) that could share things, the app is still present in the list of share options in gallery app (without the icon), also after reboot.

PRECONDITIONS:

having a paid accound and android apps

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. install an android app that can share (telegramx whatsapp, etc)
  2. uninstall it, reboot.
  3. open galery and click share

EXPECTED RESULT:

the erased app not appearing as a share option

ACTUAL RESULT:

ghost app present as share, without the icon, without the function obviously, since app isnt there anymore.

MODIFICATIONS:

none

You can delete these entries manually in ~/.local/share/applications.

Hi!
Well in my case nothing proposed worked ad a solution.
The ghost android apps are not present anywhere in the .local/share/applications, none of the apk handlders are theirs.
Their name is actually not foundable by file manager

did you make sure to circumvent sandboxing when you checked? you have to use the terminal or start the file manager from terminal to see all files.

Well all other android apk file handlers appear, so i guess i can see them correctly in the .local/share/applications file, from app file browser.

No old .json files in ~/.local/share/apkd-bridge/sharing ?

Oh okay that worked with filebrowser rpm from openrepos :+1:
So cool that solved the issue, thank you.
Still its a bug to be ironed i guess.
