To be part of CBeta you need to be selected and approved by Jolla. And as you are given access to not-yet-released, not-public stuff, you need to sign a non- disclosure agreement (NDA) with them.
makes fully sense, thanks
Which is so weird considering in the Gaming world, “Closed Beta” and “Early Access” are very well understood terms…
Except here we have Community Beta, sometimes called Closed beta for clarity(?)
(Edit: I wouldn’t mind a name change and a strict policy enforced by the Terminology Police.
)
CBeta group isn’t something you can opt in to. You are invited by Jolla if you are considered worthy, which seems to be reserved for some other developers.
I might ad that it’s how it should be!
Nice patches, where can I get one?
The patches could be part of the package delivery, so we can put them on our jackets and found the “jolla ultras fanclub” ![]()
Great idea! I’ll put it on my bike jacket ![]()
Get those patches on https://commerce.jolla.com/ for sale now!!! ![]()
Nothing from Xperia 10 IV/V… No news → bad news, sadly.
Argh, I am just so excited to have the 5.1
Must stay strong and patient while waiting… Just super jealous of the CBeta users, who can already see the work behind it
Indeed. It would be nice to hear something about IV/V but I guess they are completely focusing on the Jolla Phone ![]()
Latest information was that they don’t try currently to do any IV/V specific fixes as the Sony side of the port is so broken. So they are basically waiting any new release from Sony side. They said that they are working with Camera API 2 and general stuff that might also bring improvements to IV/V. Without Sony I don’t believe the devices will improve much
The question is if they know if Sony will continue to improve anything or if there isn’t any hope at all
IIRC they said that they don’t have any inside information about that
