Please file a full bug report with all the relevant infromation in the Bug Reports - Sailfish OS Forum category.
This happened in January 2025. I do not think there will be any bug/log info in the device anymore. Or is there a specific 112-logging?
Is it supposed to be able to minimize emergency call? Like swipe left to get access to some other application?
A while ago I called 112 (Finland). Call itself worked ok, but it was not possible to get access to any other app; red emergency call app (sfos phone app turned red when doing emergency call) was not willing to go to background/get minimized. Sony 10iii/5.0.0.71.
Is this feature, bad luck or user error?
Same here, I’ve never been able to make the call go in the background.
Perhaps it’s a security measure to prevent accidental changes?
It would be good if the phone would stay usable while emergency call is ongoing. E.g. for looking for emergency case related informations stored in the phone, or GPS position or name of next village. Scenario: one has an accident in the night in unknown area and is asked by the operator for position or medical data (stored in the phone) → currently user cannot read the notes on the phone. I doubt that position fix of a phone by network is 100% reliable in all cases.
On the other hand, the more one is able to do with the phone while an emergency call is ongoing, the more can go wrong in the panic.
If this is not a bug, it would be one of the most stupid features imaginable. You do not always have pen and paper or a second phone on hand for the dozens of things you may need a functioning smartphone for while placing an emergency call.
I raised this as a topic for next community meeting: Community meeting on 26th March 2026 - #9 by CLMA31
