Exactly, on the release notes X10III is not upgraded to 13. And somebody from Jolla said in the comments that they were so busy that they didn’t yet upgrade the X10III.
I have also X10III, so waiting also. But actually it’s good. Others get to report bugs first from 13, so we can then enjoy more bugfree experience when it lands to X10III

AppSupport version for different devices is shown in that table.
Currently, C2, 10 V and 10 IV have AppSupport 13. The older products have AppSupport 11.

MobilePay not working on Xperia 10 III

MobilePay ver: 8.8.0 (in DK)
SFOS: 5.0.0.62 (same problem on 5.0.0.61)
MicroG version: 0.3.6.xxx (also tried older versions, same problem)

MobilePay can be installed and at the end of the installation it runs and I can use the app, but after closing the app, when I later try to access the app, I enter the pin and the app display: “a problem occurred, try again later” but I never succeed to log in again.

If I delete all data or delete the app and reinstall the installation process work and I am able to enter the app, until I shut it down, after shut down it’s not possible to open it again.

During one of the installation attempts I noticed the app very briefly displayed at quick warning that the app assumed there was not network connection.

The MobilePay app works well in my C2 and XA2 with same setup.

Other Android apps works well on the 10 III.

The problem occur regardless of being on wifi or on mobile network.

Has anyone else experienced this problem - or have suggestions how to correct the problem?

Rather there.

Just wondering: I already had 5.0.0.62 installed, then received another update of 5.0.0.62 (5MB, after installation it also showed up as 5.0.0.62).
So did my phone just not recognize that 5.0.0.62 was already installed and re-installed it or did someone forget to increment the version number to something like 5.0.0.63?

All flawless on X10III.
Thanks!

I tried to install MobilePay version 8.7.0 and initially I was able to log in a few times, but after receiving a payment request the app crashed and now the problem is the same with the error message “a problem occurred, try again later”. I can reinstall, it may work a few times but then the problem is back.

During only one (of many) login attempts the app displayed the error “the phone seems to be offline”, but mobile network was on and working.

I also noticed that now after fooling around with this, MobilePay and other Android apps can no longer focus the camera and read QR codes - Don’t know if this issue is related to the MobilePay app, but it did work before.

Flawless update with the C2 and Mind2. Thanks for the tun module enabling, really appreciate that. I was able to get tailscaled working without user namespaced networking as a result!

on my XA2 Ultra the update went pretty well
the first trouble i encounter is:
the web browser that was rather slow on 4.x version (while it seemed to me to be faster on 3.x)
is now so slow that it is almost unusable
are several minutes to open a web site, when it open opens it, a normal value?
what went wrong???

Thank you for reporting this. Some other banking apps are broken, too. Having microG installed does not seem to help here. I’ll file an internal bug report about this.

What comes to the camera, Open Camera and WhatsApp can shoot sharp pictures on my C2 with 5.0.0.62. Open Camera indicates getting the focus by changing the colour of the focus ring.

QR recognition of the Sailfish Camera works, too. Check that “Settings > Apps > Camera > Enable QR code recognition” is enabled.

Thank you for your speedy reply to the problem with MobilePay, I hope you find a solution, MobilePay is a very useful app.
And by the way the problem with MobilePay now also occurs on my XA2.

Regarding the camera focus: “Enable QR code recognition” is on and Open Camera is working, but neither MobilePay or Nordnet can focus the camera to scan QR codes. MobilePay uses this for easy payment and in Nordnet it is needed for website login. This problem I have only seen on my 10 III.

Forgot to mention, it is only the back(main) camera that can’t focus using those apps. if I activate the the front camera(selfie camera) and turn the phone round the apps can scan the QR code using the front camera.

How did you manage to make WhatsApp work ?
Did you create an account on another device or older version then login in C2 ?

I’m using a rather old version of MobilePay, 7.48.0, and it seems to be still working. So while waiting for a real fix, it might be worth it to try it.

Why shouldn’t it work? What problem do you have using WhatsApp?
