Updated without issues

Update works without problems, the only letdown is, that android apps still can’t use mobile data. I need this for the “Detusche Bahn” app for public transport tickets.
Has anyone a workaround for specific android apps, maybe?

Here also no problem with the Update and the same reason for not using the C2 as daily.
I would state, that fixing this issue alone to be reason enough for an additional cristmas update release. With VoLTE resolved, this is the main pain point for most users now IMHO.

I changed the line to this:

Instead of the confusing error message “ Networking is unavailable. Please reboot”, the message “ WLAN adapter not available ” is shown when the connection manager is broken or the device does not have functional WiFi technology.

Thank you for update!

No problems found yet.

Browser feels faster too.

Have to try VoLTE later though.

The problem with android apps is that they for some reason cannot resolve DNS names through mobile data but does on Wlan. I got some apps to work on mobile by just checking with tcpdump what DNS request it does on WLAN and then writing a static hosts file with those names/addresses. For now I got maps and banking apps to work but failed with spotify which seems to be a litttle messy and connects to more than 20 hosts.

I have described the procedure here. You can try if it works for you. No mobile internet with Android apps - #38 by archon

Yes, I remembered this post and checked this with tcpdump - Deutsche Bahn DE is also very messy and this is the only app I really need at the moment.

Thank you anyway!

Cellular network doesn’t seem to set default route for IPv6 automatically and therefore doesn’t work by default. Currently I have to manually add it with ip -6 route add default dev seth_lte0 as root to make it work.

Could you please create a separate bug report about this, with operator information included? Also, if you happen to have another SFOS device at hand which adds the correct IPv6 route, please add that too. That way it doesn’t get lost in the thread.

I had this issue on first boot as well. It works fine after I powered the phone off and on again.

Everything went smooth until now and VoLTE with T-mobile is working for calls out and in and SMS

SMS receiving over LTE works, but sending not. Provider is 1&1 (Germany).

VoLTE enabled? Test o’clock!

During the restart phase of the update installation the pin code view froze. I had to shut down and restart again. Then I was able to enter the code. Otherwise no problems.

Thats weird as Telekom works well and even MMS receiving was possible … Which carrier uses 1&1 nowadays? O2 or T-mobile or Vodafone?

Did an outgoing call with VoLTE today and it worked perfectly, but I should probably do some more testing (incoming calls, SMS).

Thanks a lot for adding fastboot mode! Flashing can be very useful and fastboot is much easier to use than the Unisoc flash mode.

SFOS 5.0.0.43 - VoLte enabled:

Calls: In Denmark I cannot receive calls on the C2 when on 3’s network, but works fine on Yousee’e network.

MMS: MMS can not be send or received on 3’s network, but works on Yousee’s network.

SMS: work on both networks with C2.

MicroG: still do not work properly. MicroG installs OK, all checks are OK, but several apps says Google services are not available and therefore do not work. I have seen the same problem with the same apps on my 10iii, so maybe this could also be a more general problem with the 64bit version of AppSupport - the same apps work fine on my XA2.

Me also - this is not resolved with reboot.

UK EE PAYG to UK Vodafone Contract

So the same status as my Xperia III: VOLTE works, incoming SMS works, outbound SMs fail

If you flash via Fastboot - yes. If you just update via OTA - than no.

Is it possible to reset the C2 via fastboot? Can I reset it and sell it without any of my data left?
