OS VERSION: 5.0.0.21
HARDWARE: Jolla C2 Community Edition
UI LANGUAGE: German

DESCRIPTION:

Receiving calls is not working (eventually redirected to voicemail)
Calling has been working, not verified yet if it still works.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Insert SIM
  2. Turn on Telephone
  3. Call this number from another phone

EXPECTED RESULT:

Telephone ringing, accept call, speak to the other person

ACTUAL RESULT:

Nothing on called phone, caller is redirected to voicemail after a minute or so

Austrian network provider (HoT, uses network of “Magenta” and “Drei”)

You didn’t mention on which generation of network C2 was on.

Did you try to set preferred network to 3G or 2G? What are the results on them?

Used 4G. Switching to 2G is a workaround, but not applicable as internet connection is very slow and voice quality isn’t that good either. Curious, with 4G enabled, outgoing calls are possible.

Did you tried 2G and 3G?

Until Volte packages will be included in C2 SFOS we’ll have to endure that.

Wouldn’t know how to do that!!

Meantime I’m being positive and doing a bit of a phone detox.

Settings → Cellular Network → Network Mode: Prefer 3G

Personally I’m just waiting for the volte packages, so using my work-issued Pixel 8 as daily driver until then.

I cannot call to my C2, so C2 don’t receive call when I try. But I can call from C2, calls are working.
I cannot understand. Both phones have 4 G.
Edit: Now I tried 3G on C2 and call was succeeded.
Edit2: C2 Says on the right up corner there is 2.5G. I wonder if there exist 2.5G. Xperia 10 lll has 4G on and calls are working normally.

This is quite common error. 2.5G, 3.5G and many other exists.

Small issue, but please copy links without site tracking data. That is the part starting from “?”. It also makes them tidier, nicer for eye. Firefox even has option for that.

This happens for me on my C2 with SFOS 5.0.0.67 sometimes (i don’t know the exact condition.) I have the feeling, that this has not been the Issue for me before 5.0.0.67. Provider is Telekom.de.
I should receive a call, but it gets forwarded to Mailbox. I can call back, however.
Together with the failing call, AAS seems to lose mobile data connection.
It might be, that some service is crashing?
