Packaging Qt6 (6.7.2) for Sailfish OS

Thank god  I started going down that road, but am happy not to have to!

I’m not sure if it’s relevant, but couldn’t one start with a version 24.xxx? That was where I wanted to go.

So I made a Qt6 version of my app, which was surprisingly trivial, but my app is Common Lisp + QML and from looking at the resources in your first post it is not obvious where the Qt6 QML packages are so I can try building a version for SFOS

Its in chum:testing these days. We haven’t promoted it yet to chum proper.

Will that be ā€œsoonā€, like within one or two weeks? Because then I’ll just wait.

No clue regarding timing. We have to compile huge chunk of it out-of-OBS and, in longer term, that is not really a good solution. Haven’t discussed it much yet

its really not difficult to build against chum:testing though, just add the repo to your build sdk

Hey guys, I can not find any anglefish package in chum, although the qt5 and qt6 are there. Have they gone? I am using latest SFOS on rephone.

Build issues still plague the OBS versions, hence qt5.15 and qt6 are partially unavailable for SFOS 5.0 in Chum:

OBS Build status for 5.0

The solution used in the past was:

But that hasn’t happened yet.

You can however try downloading the angelfish build from 4.6 and see if that will install.

It does get installed (changing chum version to 4.6) and after installing the keyboard plugin, anglefish works  thanks

Thanks, that works and even passes the endless-loading cloudflare captcha, glad there is still native way to get past that
Edit: seems the native browser is doomed to be getting on the naughty list no matter what as soon as aurora copies it, hopefully they stick to their chrome-based browser and stop using sfos-browser
