Very cool. Works like a charm. Seems ability to edit a package is missing, and also cover renders weird. It shows nothing tracked, but also two apps tracked. Also, I think it makes sense to put Harpoon itself in the list by default.
Please clarify. This is not an either/or issue.
Personally I’m getting highly suspicious of apps popping up full-fledged like mushrooms, that would have taken months of collaboration & testing otherwise. Other people testing them on their devices. That’s what eg. chum:testing is for. And only then do you announce them as ready.
Thanks to this incredible AI hype taking root in our community as well, this whole process is now squashed down to nothing: every app is ready for prime time right from the start.
Or is it.
OK, looking at your repo I think I can answer this myself:
- it’s barely a day old
- 56 commits are done by claude, 3 by OP
If the “how much AI” slider was already in use for software submissions, yours would be turned up all the way.
Interesting concept. But currently not really a thing for SFOS. Most apps (that I use at least) don’t have releases on github etc.
I understand the need on Android, as Google is not to be trusted, and trusting other stores is not optimal either.
I do like the concept for libraries for development, so one could skip npmjs, nuget, etc.
Thanks for giving it a go. I’ll see what’s going on there and get s fix out asap.
I just added a repo to harpoon, forgot to tick the pre-releases box. So no new update was shown. I downloaded and installed the rpm manually. Ticked the box, harpoon shows the update but can not install it, because both verdions numbers match. Looks like a small bug to me.
