well my broke on the way from .58 to .72
i was able to do phone calls !

Yeah, I did each step. .64 → .68 → .72
I think i ve missed one. 64 or 68
@piggz , today i could not do calls again. so i just reapplied the installation and it works again.
now i did not do anything special in the last 2 days. just check chum for updates and installed 2,3 apps from there.
but it seems i do get the wrong plugin again.
any hints where i could check why ?

update: did a call, did update repos in storeman, calling broke. Re install binder …
so i have a wrong repo enabled ?

I would try locking it down first and then seeing what wants to replace it:
zypper al ofono-ril-binder-plugin
add a lock so it can’t be up/down graded. Once it’s locked, try doing an zypper ref ; zypper up to see what it wants to do.
Locked, but no complains.

I WILL post a bug report after some more work on it, but doing regular updates, not skipping a step yields this result.
Ok, i looked at @poetaster log file from https://poetaster.de/sfos/64-72.txt and i see the problem. In the update from .64 to .68, the ofono plugin gets swapped. This is probably because there is no .68 repository for the Vollas! 
Subprojects of nemo:testing:hw:volla:yggdrasil - SailfishOS Open Build Service see if the same happens going from .64 to .72.

Duh. Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember you having said as much. @pawel.spoon did you go directly from .64 → .72 ?
Probably if i added the pattern* packages to the zypper config for being required, it would atleast warn you that you were going to break your system by removing them!
Important lines were
The following will be removed: patterns-sailfish-device-adaptation-yggdrasil patterns-sailfish-device-configuration-yggdrasil
So re-installing those should do the trick?
should do … those packages require the missing ofono packages
i think i did miss 68 on the first update
then did all steps on second…
but hard to remember now…
