An unconventional, but interesting approach.
However: Colours in the UI of a camera app or image editing app are a no-go, because they negatively influence our ability to properly judge brightness, contrast, saturation, and so on. More information about this can be found here.
I still think this is the best camera UI on a phone.
Absolutely nice! 
Full of details and naturally looking because of only moderate denoising (or no denoising at all?). The remaining noise is fortunately almost only luma (brightness) noise, not chroma (colour) noise, so it can be easily further reduced to taste. Or more sophisticated: With wavelet denoising, you can preserve the very fine details in the ocean waves, while lowering the noise in non-detailed areas such as the sky more aggressively at the same time.
Much better.
The grays in the UI elements (i.e. their brightness) should probably be more close to each other, for the reasons described in the darktable docs to which I linked in the post that you replied to.

I like the photo with the goat. Sharp and detailed where it counts (around the eye), with a nice sharpness falloff (blurring) towards the more distant body parts and the background. How much distance was approximately between the camera and the goatâs head?
Regarding the photo with the bird: Way too overprocessed for my taste, but letâs be fair: RAWfish is still in Alpha stage, but already producing amazing results nevertheless.
Thank you! Right now it only reads RAW16: it assumes two bytes per pixel. RAW10 and RAW8 are easy to add on the reading side, but imago needs to know which format a file is. Would you consider writing it into the JSON, e.g. âformatâ: âRAW10â? Then imago can follow whatever the sensor gives, and I can test against real files instead of guessing.

One detail: The native format is 4:3.
That means that 16:9 is a crop of the native format.
But well, yes, one can appreciate to have that fullsize.

Really nice feature/bug I discovered in RAWfish though: it zooms more than the final picture.
And this made me realize it is very handy to adjust the focus.

The live view could always be displayed uncropped on the screen. If the phone is held in portrait orientation, the live view is placed at the top of the screen and all relevant controls at the bottom (outside the live view). If the phone is held in landscape orientation, the live view could optionally be placed in the center of the screen with the controls meaningfully distributed to the left and right sides (again outside the live view), enabling 2-handed operation. Or like in portrait mode: Live view on one side (left or right), all controls on the other, which can be more practical sometimes, e.g. when taking selfies.
General question: Should the RAW file always cover the full sensor region (4:3) and only the JPEG be cropped to 3:2, 16:9, 1:1, etc.? Some mirrorless cameras do it like this. In such a case, an additional frame could be placed into the live view to indicate the crop area for the JPEG.
Both make sense IMHO. When zooming to check focus, some kind of picture-in-picture method could be used to easily move the zoomed region around the entire frame (think of âNavigatorâ views in image editing software).
If you refer to focus peaking: Yes please (in addition to what you called âtechnical focussing zoomâ)!

For anyone thatâs interested in testing, Rawfish runs on the Xperia 10III and appears to only need adjustments to the settings to get proper photos. Iâm on the road the next day or to, so Iâm unable to get a config made. Perhaps this one from the gcam thread might serve as a point of departure?

Tried to install latest Alpha 3 version (rawfish-1.3.1-3.aarch64.rpm) unfortunately installation stops due to colidation with droid-hal-jp2601-0.0.6-202608031225.aarch64 how to fix this please?

The latest version is for testing on non-JP2 devices. With a few tweaks its mostly working on my Murray port. @mad_dev is working on making the app device agnostic.
