My screen is broken :( finding a device replacement

Hello,

My Xperia XA2 screen was broken last weekend, the screen is fully working, but I expect at some moment will complettly broken. I check for repairing the screen and it cost me like a new XA2.

I need to have whatsapp otherwise I found an XZ2 compact that for me will be the perfect, but it’s not possible to install the aliendalvick on this one right?

Which phone did you recommend to replace my XA2? the same XA2?

Thanks,
J.

Legalities aside, there is no technical reason why you could not use XZ2, as you already have XA2 if had previously SSH into device would not need to use screen as here:

Thank you!

I was looking the size is not a big difference, I was thinking xz2c was more similar to xz1 compact. Still, I think is a good option…

Any other option as a small phone?

Hi,

I ended buying the xz2c, I exctracted the rpms from my XA2, but they are not installing, (It feels is because xa2 was 32bit, and sailfish tama is 64, because I’ve got this error:

I tried to install waydroid, but it’s also having problems, I see this error on start:

Or, much cheaper, changing the screen yourself?
You will find plenty tutorials on the net and at least the first part of the procedure can be found here:

Thanks,

But I don’t feel capable of doing that, also seems the back cover is glued, and I need to dismount everything… Usually I’m not afraid to dismount stuff, but in this case, yes, I’m afraid of that. currently the mobile is working…

Thanks!
