It seems that ASUS is indeed planning to enable the unlock again. I had already lost confidence, but here https://zentalk.asus.com/t5/zenfone-9/asus-quot-unlock-device-app-quot/m-p/375548/highlight/true#M4942 ASUS confirms again that the update of the tool is planned for Q3 when asked (whether the plans are still up to date or have changed because customer services of different countries give different information).
So let’s see who is faster: ASUS with their unlocking tool or you fixing the video issue
