Jolla C2 Halium Version

well I did lol but you apparently didn’t like that

>So an Android 5 port could use literally the same libhybris as an Android 14 port?

yes. libhybris as in libhybris package yes. it would use different pulesaudio and ofono plugins which usually is under the umbrella term of libhybris, but the libhybris package/project itself yes, exactly the same.

>at means that a the version number like 0.0.5.7-1.9.1 describes the evolution of libhybris only and has nothing to do with Android base version?

That’s what i said above yes

It was never my intention to offend you. I confess, I simply didn’t get it.

But I’m glad, I got a step further now with my understanding and for that I say thank you.

I think I know now, what I was looking for…

EDIT: Before I asked here, I asked AI, too. It first told me that SFOS uses Halium. Later, the AI explained to me in detail, how I could translate the libhybris version into base Android version. Therefore I was convinced, there is this connection. I can’t find the history of this AI chat any more. Yet, I apologize and will be more careful when asking AI.

One of plenty of examples why LLM shouldn’t be used or trusted

In my limited experience this is especially true for niche knowledge and linux and/or open source related topics (knowing that lipstick / silica is not fully open)
I asked exactly 20 questions about removing Android packages via ADB and flashing SFOS to a LLM in May this year.
The answers to 19 out of the 20 questions were hallucinated on the level a 5 year old child would do, showing very evidently how these models work, simply guessing the following word without ecen basic understanding …
In our SFOS niche these LLMs are exceptionally poor in exact results…

The Android version can easily be found in Settings => Android support.

But you asked overly specific questions, which caused y’all to veer off on a different path.

no that’s android support, not underlying android base, you’re confusing things
