@d.geelen Out of curiousity I’ve tried the “Why was the F-117 retired so quickly? (Top facts) - Technology Org” on the Xperia X, the (hardware performance wise) low end Sailfish 4.5 platform.
Browser
What did I do different? Maybe to use a “clean” Private Window for all “entertainment & clickbait” oriented websites such as this?
Appart for some non “essential” (tracking packages, bank, email, …) websites that people like to load on their mobile because they are on the go, the “not working” I would half jockingly consider Jolla delivering on security and privacy by having you think twice: do I really need this sht… in a browser while there are podcasts, music, books & audiobooks plenty that do work reliably on this device?
You may want to check out your favorite site on a desktop computer with Firefox browser and the plug in uMatrix that will show you all the non essential scripts some clickbait websites are trying to load.
And then check again in 3 months on your professional partner’s website (bank, e commerce- or so only to conclude that “web dev team” needed to change again what seemed to work only to rake in their 10K monthly invoice.
SITE:
Nextcloud instance
WHAT IT IS:
Nextcloud Hub 8 (29.0.2)
WHAT WORKS:
It shows Nextcloud logo on login page.
WHAT DOES NOT WORK:
No fields to type login credentials or anything. Just a blank page with logo.
I think the main difference is that you tried it a year later, and in the mean time something has changed on cloudflare’s end. I also tried opening that page again now, and somehow I was able to pass the cloudflare “are you a bot” check:
I haven’t been able to get past that check in months (years?).
For schedules, just use Fahrplan
Can you book tickets or login?
EDIT: it does work with angelfish from chum. But I only tested searching for connections.
Regular reminder:
Please do not create SEO connections between SFOS forums and sites that aren’t working on SFOS .
Mention the sites in a code block instead, example:
especially to avoid Discourse creating OpenGraph previews, but really anything that shows up as a clickable link is bad.
Thank you.
I think you’d have an easier time making people care if you motivated that request properly.
Unfortunately, Fahrplan does not provide certain details, e.g. the possibility to expand the whole set of stations on a ride.
For booking a ticket for a certain connection, you need to be able to search it first. Which is what is broken.
It’s on my todo list for Fahrplan, but it’s already there in Multimodal MultiModal | OpenRepos.net — Community Repository System which is also to be found in the chum repositories. Multimodal is quite nice
I understood that. Does search work for you in Angelfish. I only tried simple searches, which worked.

WHAT DOES NOT WORK
Logging in and no further action works
SITE
WHAT IS IT
Online auction site for Goodwill thrift stores in US (and some in Canada, I think).
WHAT DOES WORK
Home page loads
WHAT DOES NOT WORK
Attempting to access the login page gives a blank page.
SITE :
/ DHL shipment tracking - track the status of your parcels | DHL /
WHAT IS IT :
Shipment information for packages
WHAT WORKS :
The page loads but the field for entering the shipment number is not displayed.
WHAT DOES NOT WORK :
You cannot enter the shipment number.
The same error message appears if you try to access the link with the shipment number from an email.
The error message suggests that the cause is on the DHL side.
But if you copy the link in an Android browser, the page with the information about the shipment loads correctly.
SITE:

WHAT IS IT:
A sharing image social network
WHAT WORKS:
Nothing

Everything, it does not load at all
SITE:
forum.sailfish.org
WHAT IS IT:
We all know what is it, right?
WHAT WORKS:
Almost everything, except logging in, which results in a 504 error
WHAT DOES NOT:
Logging it, so can’t post new posts, which is vital anyway, nor replying to already existent posts
Works for me without any problems.
The German version works for me. Your screenshot indicates, that there could be a temporary problem on the DHL site.

I normally always use the link to the German page, but that doesn’t work either. I only used the link to the English page here because it is easier to understand in an English-language forum.
Yes, the message looks like there is a temporary problem with DHL. But I wrote that the link works at the same time in an Android browser on the same smartphone.
Is that a typo?
I need moar characters . . .
