it does work on linux, the page says the original version (webusb whatever that is) did not, this one is python.
To install you need pip (usually included with python)

pip3 install unisoc-unlock

Thank you. I have tried installing it via pip3, but I get the externally-managed environment error :frowning:

I have python, pip3 and even pipx installed - as per picture below

This is not eror. Debian based distros followed python new direction tu use environments. Probably many others too. Read suggested Readme or PEP 668 as recommended. Or some proper summary how to do that.

many thanks! Unfortunately :smiley: it worked! I say unfortunately, because now I have no excuse for not going deeper into the rabbit hole of installing SFOS )) but I assume there will be more questions along the road

thank you, I have just unlocked bootloader. In fact, the phone is still in fastboot mode, do I need to restart it, or I can go ahead with fastboot flash comands?

Also, very important for me, you say the update the bootloader via terminal - will I have access to the phone terminal ? With ssh or from phone directly? can you please explain, as it is my first time with SFOS…

UPDATE: for some strange reason, after I sudo fastboot flash-ed the 8 .img files from the instructions and fastboot reboot-ed the phone, it went into SFOS, so I did not have a chance to flash boot with lk.bin

Is this a problem? Should I still try to flash boot with lk.bin or let it work as it is?

You will load the ik.bin file with the codes I wrote using the phone’s own terminal… Otherwise you will not be able to put the phone into bootloader mode!!!

Hello i have succesfully flashed sailfishos on my s19mps but after using it for around 5 minutes my device randomly freezes for a sec and then reboots. after reboot sometimes there is a loading wheel and it stays like that around 15 minutes.To get to home screen temporarily just restarting works. i cant use the device with random restarts. i have tried to upgrade to 5.0.0.71 from 5.0.0.43 and issue still exist.
