Install Sailfish whitout USB data conection

I bought my license for the xperia 10 iii but for some reason I can’t get my device to connect to the computer via the USB cable. Is there an alternative way to complete the entire installation process by applying “updates.zip” from the SD card?

No, the only way for the first install us via USB and fastboot. Why can you not connect your phone to your PC?

You need the driver, maybe install manually. Or a different cable.

Hi! First check you’re not using USB3.0 ports because they are creating issues to adb and fastboot working
If you manage to install TWRP recovery you can actually flash the sailfish image.
I suggest you to ask in the irc channel of sailfish porters

There may be some dirt in your usb-port, also as mentioned try other cables/hubs(usb2). It might be possible to run any linux container, get adb/fastboot working and boot a recovery which can flash from sdcard or via (w)lan, but this should be very tricky…

It could be the USB3 problem, some ports are difficult… Do you use Windows or Linux or Mac?
Try using a USB2 port

What? Sounds like you are doing something else than installing SFOS.

You are following the official instructions for Linux or Windows computer, aren’t you?

Pay attention to the blue light.

updates.zip is not used at all when installing Sailfish OS by flashing.

There are some cables intnded only for charging (check if your cables is actually a data cable)
