Inari Blue Notifier - app to make the Inari Blue logo react to calls and notifications

Thank you very much

Thank you very much. I installed the Storeman App and using it to handle the installation solved my problem.

Thank you.
Having my phone muted most of the working hours makes your app really useful. I appreciate your work.

You can now set a start and end times in the app

The App Inari Blue Notifier and the patch tho-notify are in conflict.
I tested both. I deactivated the patch and at notification the blinking of the patch persists. After uninstall the tho-notify, the App patters are shown.

It works like a charm but it does not stop once a notification went off. How do I acknowledge?

Once the notification disappears, it should stop. Do you have any other notifications there? As long as there’s at least one, it continues with the pattern.

Threema Push has a constant notification and Signal, roo. Maybe that is the reason.

Yep, that’s it. In the next version I plan to add notifications for specific apps. I’ll also look into ignoring permanent notifications.

Permanent notifications should be fixed, please update, try and let me know. (You need the daemon update 1.7.1, the gui update is irrelevant to this issue).

Is it possible, as a hopefully small feature request, to make it an option to have the Inari Blue Notifier compliment the ringtone or notification alerts, but not keep blinking until all notifications are dealt with?

So what I’d like:

  • my phone rings (or is on silent), Inari Blue blinks rapidly; phone stops ringing? It stops blinking
  • same thing for the notifications really, SMS? Blink 3x rapid, then stop. Mail, pulse a few times slowly, then stop

I’d like the Inari Blue logo to be an elegant and discrete ringtone replacement, not a “blink until you deal with it” type thing

It already stops blinking when call ends. As for the SMS, you can solve it by creating a custom pattern which has the repeat set to a specific number instead of infinity. The number can be up to 15. Then you set that pattern for notifications.

Awesome, did not know that, I thought they were just preset choices, I’ll get to configuring right away! :hugs:

Yeah, either edit the existing one by long holding it, or use the pull down menu to create a new one.

Done, this is awesome, thanks a lot! :star_struck:

As much as I would have wanted to use the Inari Blue TOH I decided to shelve it after I noticed exactly this. Like even if you had set it OFF before shutting down the phone, it would automatically be ON after (re-)starting the phone. This then required that you always had to switch it off after the phone had started ughhh.

But this Notifier app seems really neat and would really make the switch back to Inari Blue TOH useful. But: will the app ever become available in the official Jolla store or are there reasons it won’t ever be seen there??

It works far better now. I had one more hanging notification with an fdroid update but I think fdroid had a hickup here.

Thank you very much. Great app!

Definitely can’t be there now, not sure if it will ever be possible.

  • it runs a permanent daemon
  • the daemon is unsadboxed
  • it needs access to permissions that are disallowed in the store (optional access to contacts, calling some custom D-Bus methods for intercommunication)

I added a new update where you can enable notifications for select apps - currently Email and Messages. This means you can disable all generic notifications and enable only Email, Messages or both.

More apps are coming and eventually even a way to define custom applications cause I can’t list every application under the Sun there.

Edit: Also added Signal
