For me the situation with 3 appstores looks nice!

It would be nice to at least have an installer for them in the Jolla Store, though.

Which seems to be actually allowed according to the Harbour FAQ:

Use Qt.openFileExternally() method in QML and QDesktopServices::openUrl() in C++ to trigger a sideload. Use the absolute file path to the RPM file. If you want to monitor the progress, the following signals on the session D-Bus are available:

Idea: simply put not the shop apps itself on Jolla store but make an installer app for the store apps itself or if this is also prohibited by Jolla app guidelines, then an app that informes the user and displays information and the recommended weblinks. Is this a way?

I hope the Beginner’s Guide I’m writing will help with that, trying to make the app installing as dumbed down as possible.

Had a look there just now, it’s not there yet.

Someone should try that because according to a few posts above sideloading should be allowed.
