Fingerprint works fine on the 10IV on Jolla’s port, it’s the 10V where that remains broken.

Mostly what Jolla said when the 10IV and 10V support was announced is still true:

There are known issues with the trial versions of the new Xperias, including:

• Camera is disabled
• Fingerprint detection does not work on Xperia 10 V; hence removed from the UI
• Battery status doesn’t update (it does by restarting the phone) on Xperia 10 V
• eSIM support is not yet implemented; hence the eSIM slot is disabled
• Avoid using the Flight mode as the phone loses the SIM card
• Restarting the phone may last up to 2 minutes

However in later SFOS releases the 10IV also developed charging problems where it reboots every time you disconnect from the charger. Charging is also very slow, and you cannot take a phone call in private - you’re forced to use the speakerphone.

You are probably better off looking up the community port for the 10 IV, unless you very specifically wanted to test AAS.

Thanks attah - the community port is still WIP, I am close to releasing fingerprint support for it, but I have been daily driving that as my only phone for months now and it’s far easier to live with than the Jolla port - as you say, provided your requirements do not include Android.
