Guide - Installing Shizuku

For this to work on the Jolla Phone 2026 I edited the contents of shizuku.rc :

service runapp /system/bin/sh /system/bin/start.sh
    class main
    user root
    group root
    oneshot
    disabled

on property:dev.bootcomplete=1
    start runapp
  1. Added ‘disabled’, so it won’t try to run the script too early before the system is fully booted (dev.bootcomplete=1)
  2. Removed ‘seclabel u:r:su:s0’. Apparently, Android 15 has stricter security rules. Now, it runs normally under the system’s default permissions (probably safer anyway?)
  3. Used updated install.sh script by @NettoHikari

v13.5.4 still works. Don’t update to newer versions (or newer forked ones), as method of starting Shizuku server has changed.

Also, starting it by pairing with adb wifi, often fails. Actual pairing might succeed but Shizuku itself wont recognize an established connection. After several trials, only one fork managed to start its server after adb wifi pairing. But even after you enable the option in the app’s settings, it wouldn’t start automatically on boot without manually allowing the connection each time.

So, if you rarely use Shizuku and/or dont require it often: thejaustin’s ShizukuPlus
