Thank you for sharing here.
It is a little maddening to read this. ASAP has no meaning at all, because the only context we are given is them saying it will launch, and then more than a month of almost nothing after they miss the launch date.
Maybe I misinterpret what is said or the thought behind it, but I read something like this:
- The software is later than you told us it would. There is no communication about it. Please tell us something.
- We will, asap
- Ok, can you tell us more?
- Yes, we can, and we will.
- Please
- We will tell you something.
THEN !@#$%^ DO TELL US SOMETHING!
Until now I have been patiently waiting. I can understand the date might have been optimistic. I can understand unforeseen roadblocks and delays. I must do some effort, but I can even understand the lack of communication about it all.
But I really cannot understand, when they made time specifically for answering the community, the only thing we hear is the contradictory: We will give you an answer. And nothing more. If you don’t take us seriously, please continue ignoring us again, it is a lot easier to handle.
It is more than maddening. I’m just !@#$%^ing angry about this.
Let me help you, jolla. You can have these sentences, you just need to fill in some blanks:
We plan to release this week/within 2 weeks/this month, but there are still some things we need to iron out that may delay a release even further. As for now, some features, like (insert features here), are missing, and probably will be missing from the initial launch. We hope to release these features as an over the air update within a month/two months/three months/six months to our subscribers. If we stumble upon problems that will delay the release of the feature update, we will contact @ThijssjihT to help us communicate with you again.
Hope this helps.
