Can not turn on visibility on in bluetooth settings

REPRODUCIBILITY (% or how often): 100%
BUILD ID = OS VERSION (Settings > About product): 4.1
HARDWARE (XA2, Xperia 10…): Xperia X
UI LANGUAGE: english
REGRESSION: (compared to previous public release: Yes, No, ?): did work on 3.2

bluetooth: can not turn visibility on, not for 3 min nor forever

  1. turn bluetooth on works (mostly)
  2. try to turn on visibility → fails (combo switches back to off)
  3. search for devices fails
  4. consequently can not pair new devices

phone should be visible to other

is not

(Please ALWAYS attach relevant data such as logs, screenshots, etc…)

the phone was long time on 3.2, i did then upgrade it to 3.4, 4.0, 4.1

XA2 Ultra and SFOS 4.1: the bluetooth does not turn on. I am pretty sure that it worked in the last SFOS 3, I did not try it in 4.0.

Even after a reboot?

i would have said yes, even after, cause i was not able to connect to any of my 2 car radios but now that i tried it out … it worked, i could select visiblle for 3 mins and combo would show it and count down would start.

so reboot did fix it, but i guess not always ?

Up to you to tell us  I sounds looks like this issue, and if it is, then a reboot always fixes it for me:

But rather than rebooting each time I want to use the Bluetooth, I have a script with the following command (that I need to run twice sometimes):

After several reboots my Bluetooth works again. But it needed several. Can’t find any consitency or pattern.
