I’m replacing the battery because I can’t work like this until the new Jolla Phone gets here.
Also the battery has returned to underperforming so I guess that was a most temporary thing.
Just replaced the battery and it looks like the issue was not the battery (although it most definitely was dying and needed to be replaced) but rather that the SD card had an untimely demise (or the slot is malfunctioning I have not yet had the opportunity to check the card in a different device).
Have you tried performing a fstrim on the MicroSD card? Mine was so ungodly slow that I thought it was dead, but it turned out it simply needed to be trimmed. (I had no idea you could do such a thing but it makes sense, it’s just flash storage)
I experienced similar slow wakeup issues but only during intense write operations such as when performing a backup.
Edit: nvm I just checked your other thread. If it’s no longer showing up it sounds dead-dead.

I’m usually very skeptial about people claiming that hardware dies of old age - except USB sticks and SD cards because I’ve had similar issues more than once.
(and spinning drives if mistreated or much older than 10 years)
